• Go for your morning walk in Tivoli Gardens and then you can have a historical afternoon by visiting the three “MUST” historical sites Rosenborg Castle, National Museum of Denmark and The Botanical Garden.
• Go to The Cisternerne for the stalactites or stalagmites…or its history 😊
• Have some shopping therapy from the most famous brands at Stroget
• And have that crazy night out at “the bros”!
Whether it's your first visit or one of many, here are our suggestions how to make the best out of 3 days in Copenhagen.
1. Stay at “Audo House” – Audo Copenhagen teamed up with long-term collaborators Norm Architects to restore and transform a disused merchants house, a unique concept that masterfully unites a showroom, an exclusive residence, concept shop, art and event space, as well as a café and restaurant.
2. For a bucket-list dining destination, try the Michelin “Alchemist” Restaurant – Flavors, high quality ingredients, skillful preparation and the process of eating forms the foundation, but the experience is designed to extend beyond the plate, seeping into both the immediate physical surroundings as well as transcending time and space.
3. Try the traditional cuisine of another Michelin Restaurant, “Kadeau Copenhagen”– The owner hails from Bornholm and he and his team are passionate about the island’s ingredients, which are dried, cured, preserved, smoked and pickled to maximum effect in complex, skillfully crafted dishes.
4. Do not miss the “CopenHill” – Designed by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, CopenHill is a multi-use waste-to-energy plant. Well, the building also has a ski slope, climbing wall, and cafe. Even if you have no interest in skiing down the 1,300-foot slope, you’ll certainly be interested in seeing it. The shiny building is also an architectural marvel.
5. Go for a morning walk in Tivoli Gardens – This famous amusement park combines manicured gardens and roller coasters in central Copenhagen, and has been attracting visitors since the 19th century, making it the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world.
7. Visit the 3 “MUST” historical sites of Copenhagen – Rosenborg Castle, National Museum of Denmark & The Botanical Garden
8. Don’t forget the Cisternerne – As an extension of Copenhagen’s Frederiksberg Museums, the Cisternerne operates as a venue for exhibitions and events—but it’s the space itself that is the permanent exhibit and primary attraction. A cryptic underground cave, the only dripstone cave in Denmark, a gloomy labyrinth filled with stalactites and stalagmites.
9. Do some brand shopping at Stroget – The largest shopping area of Copenhagen is centered around the pedestrian street Stroget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets with a wealth of shops, from budget-friendly chains to some of the world’s most expensive brands. The stretch is 1.1 kilometers long and runs from City Hall Square to Kongens Nytorv.
10. Go for a drink (or two) at “the bros” – Vesterbro, Norrebro & Osterbro! Hitting up these three neighborhoods is quintessential to any Copenhagen trip. The original residents’ areas are full of life, creativity and great dining, or clubs.
