We Albanians are very easy to adapt with changes, whether it’s tackling a new job, learning a new language or moving to a new country. The new culture comes to us as though we have known it for decades. Different cuisines, with food being an universal experience, is what we enfold and enjoy. International cuisine restaurants date years back in Tirana, where exotic dishes leave everyone in awe.
Sushi however, has not always been amongst our favorites and we had always blamed the enigma of a distant culture, a world with which we felt little connection. That was until the new fusion restaurant opened in the city, Mado, the “it place”; and we discovered that sushi was simply a misunderstood gem.

For the peaky eaters there are some traditional options as shrimp or chicken tacos, noodles, tartars and fillet, since Mado has been careful to include all Asia in a menu.
