Inside Manzoni, Milano

Eat, meet and marvel Tom Dixon’s work

In a world filled with countless restaurant options, it appears that our choices go beyond merely seeking delicious food. Increasingly, we find ourselves in pursuit of more than just a meal – we crave an experiential dining adventure. For those who don’t know, experiential dining goes beyond the act of eating itself. It involves a holistic approach that considers the overall atmosphere, ambiance, service, and presentation, creating a memorable and immersive encounter for diners.

Heading to The Manzoni, we couldn’t quite decide if it was all about the food or the cool showroom. The great thing was, we got the best of both worlds without any hesitation. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a delicious meal and soak in the unique showroom vibes at the same time, making our evening there a fantastic experience. The Manzoni seamlessly blends Italian cuisine with a showcase of British designs, creating a unique dining experience in Milan. It goes beyond the ordinary, offering distinctive vibes that set it apart from traditional restaurant, and we felt that as soon as we entered the restaurant.

The Jungle undergoes a metamorphosis, transitioning from a daytime showcase of Tom Dixon designs to an evening event space for the restaurant, offering diverse celebrations each night. Tom Dixon’s creations evoke a unique ambiance, turning your dining experience into a work of art. Amidst the captivating designs, we found ourselves enchanted by the MELT Chandeliers, tempted to reach out and touch them, the Spring Pendants resembling graceful dancing silhouettes, or the sculptural candle holders of dreamy material. The presentation of food complements this artistic atmosphere, as seen in the imaginative dinosaur container or the contrast of black plates against the vibrant colors of the food.

Our evening there was a delightful blend of delicious meals and immersive showroom vibes. From Tom Dixon’s enchanting creations to imaginative food presentations, The Manzoni offers more than just a meal. And shouldn’t life be with less ordinary experiences and more extraordinary ones?
