The weather was delightful and we decided to dine al fresco in the tree-lined inner courtyard.
The dining room’s decor blends various styles and eras: delicate metal table lamps, vintage photographs on the walls, light-colored fabric upholstered seats, and baroque elements that reflect the Bastide’s rich history. Together, these elements create an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere, complemented by warm parquet flooring. Outside, the ambiance reflects a serene Mediterranean lifestyle. The Provençal inscription on the sundial of the shaded terrace, “Aqui l’acuei es au soulèu raiounant” (Here the welcome is in the radiant sun), sets the tone. Similar to indoors, the exterior decor combines contemporary and elegant elements: sleek concrete tables contrast with lush greenery, while plush lounge seating invites guests to unwind before or after their meal.
Every dish was very fresh and you could tell that special attention was given to every ingredient. They later explained us that the menu evolves with the seasons, guiding diners from Brittany to the Mediterranean. For desserts, Yohan Jara’s daily creations promise a finale of delicacy and innovation. Our sweet tooth was super delighted.
Sommelier Axel Dervieux guided us to perfect pair our food order with the right wine.
