The Dremiest Experience in Berat
A few days ago, someone told me that what it is more important than the genetic code, is the postal one. It hit me, and while trying to understand how the environment with its culture and traditions has influenced and shaped my behaviors, attitudes and personality, with Stylisphere, we went to the place where tradition is valued, praised and preserved, at “Tradita e Beratit”.
This boutique hotel is located in the Gorice Neighborhood, one of the most famous neighborhoods in Berat. The building in itself holds history, dating 250 years back. And while we admire the historic details discovered during the renovations, like the arched door or the opened candle space-holders on the stone walls, we feel like we are transported in the 18th century, witnessing their way of living. A real-life immersive museum, or a boutique hotel? How about both.
“Tradita e Beratit” features 6 rooms, all offering picturesque views from their windows. Imbued with traditional charm, featuring delicate curtains, wooden furniture, and Albanian motif carpets, these rooms offer a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Crafted with attention to detail and with a modern twist, nothing feels heavy or out-dated. For a romantic escape, our suggestion would be the enchanting “Oda e Madhe” room.
We had a very pleasant welcome from the staff with a welcoming drink and the parfait dessert, served with a smile and a view, showing the hospitality tradition of us Albanians.
We also tried the restaurant of the hotel, and it was an Albanian culinary experience in itself. The restaurant is separated in three settings; the indoors, the terrace and the garden one, being perfect for every season. Every dish is traditionally prepared from the house with organic ingredients. No Albanian feast would be complete without a glass of wine, a cherished tradition embraced wholeheartedly at “Tradita e Beratit”, where the house wine can be enjoyed anytime with your romantic partner, or the group of friends, making the atmosphere lovelier.
This boutique hotel started as a dream from 2 youngsters with passion and vision, Antoneli and Kejsi. Today, it is not just the realization of a dream, but a must-stop destination in Berat, it is a small heavenly place of exquisite hospitality and culinary delight.
