New journeys to glamorous ski destinations

Few are the experiences that evoke nostalgia and romance quite like a journey aboard the train. Speaking of train rides, it might whisk some of you back to the days of your childhood. In their own, trains, are repositories of stories, filled with the whispered secrets of passengers and the timeless charm of travel.

Today, we are virtually embarking you on an iconic train journey from France down to the French Alps, via The Venice Simplon-Orient Express, a synonym of elegance and adventure. This new extravagant rail itenerary is set to launch in late December.

Starting from 20th of December, there will be overnight trips available between Paris and the Alpine towns of Albertville, Moûtiers, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, home to top-tier ski destination, including Megève, Mont Blanc, Courchevel, Tignes–Val d’Isère, and Les Trois Vallées, which is the largest ski area in the world. 

But, if the thought of skiing leaves you as cold as an untouched snowbank, there are planty of other activities these towns offer. You can either do some shopping, ice skating, or just delight the marvelous nature. 

As for the ride, it is an experience in itself. You can enjoy all the pleasures that VSOE has to offer, including a four-course dinner in one of its historic Art Deco restaurant cars. And don’t forget to bring your finest attire for a night of celebration in the renowned bar car, 3674, where live music and expertly-crafted cocktails will keep the evening alive.

This year, alongside the Alpine journeys, the train will extend its winter routes to connect Paris and Vienna on December 18 and 19, providing a fantastic opportunity to witness these two iconic European capitals adorned in their renowned holiday splendor.

All you need to do is pack your suitcase and prepare to be captivated by this one-of-a-kind experience.
