Siena - Tuscany’s Medieval Gem

3 days experience through culture & nature

One doesn’t truly comprehend art, if one hasn’t visited Tuscany, and in the middle of it, stands Siena, as a medieval gem.

Siena’s impact on the world of art is no mere coincidence. The very genesis of Siena is an artistic narrative, a tale that transcends time and becomes an integral part of the city’s cultural identity. According to the legend, its foundation is linked to Sinus and Aschius, twin sons of Remus, who were exiled from Rome after the death of their father. In search of a new home, legend says that when they arrived at Mount Verna, they encountered a wolf, an animal sacred to the goddess Diana. Taking wolf as a divine sign and with the enigmatic image of istrica, the two brothers decided to put roots in the hill and establish the new city called Siena.
As for you, if you have three days to spend and you want to feel the essence of Italy, get yourself a glass of wine, as Siena is all about it. Lush nature that transforms into a dreamlike landscape, art in all its forms and beauty found everywhere, Siena has the magic formula of marvel and relaxation.

Start your trip with a stroll in the UNESCO-listed historic center and go through Piazza del Campo. Savor an aperitivo with a view before heading to lunch with style at the unical Pienza Idyllium.

Finish your day with a mouthwatering Fiorentina steak at Enoteca I Terzi and after that enjoy the show at one of the local cabaret shows.

Spend your second day in Brolio and get drawn to the Castell di Brolio, with the stunning panoramic view from the botanical garden. Through the centuries the castle has suffered attack and destruction in numerous battles, from the Aragonese and Spanish assaults during the fifteenth century, to disputes in the seventeenth century, to the aerial bombings and rounds of artillery during the Second World War.

Experience the century tradition and contemporary excellence at Osteria di Brolio and of course, treat yourself to the Ricasoli wine.

On the third day, get spoiled at Castello Bigozzi, immersed in Chianti, a medieval castle of the year 1000, renovated in a 4-star hotel. And after a charming day, we’re sure you’ll be reluctant to bid farewell as you make your way to the airport.

With each sip of wine, each historical gem explored, and every shared laughter with your loved ones, you’ve woven a tapestry of memories that will accompany you beyond the cobbled streets of Siena—a timeless reminder of the magic found in this captivating corner of Tuscany.
