Tips and Tricks to Make Your Return to Routine Perfectly Smooth

Getting back to routine after the holidays is like waking up a kitten from a cozy nap. The carefree days of enjoying holiday fun now turn into the usual routine of alarms and work tasks. Monday is always the hardest day, and in order to fight the Monday blues and get back easier to your routine, we have some tips and tricks for you.


1. Have a morning coffee and catch up with your favourite colleagues
Starting your day in a high note will make it easier to return in the office. Sharing some inside jokes with them will take away the stress of the day.
2. Prepare a to-do-list
Buy yourself a new agenda, think about all the unfinished tasks from before the holidays and prepare a to-do-list. This way you will feel more organized for the back-to-routine days.
3. Start your first day on a light note
If there is any important call, or hard task, try to leave it for the upcoming days. Your first day back to routine should feel as light as possible. So block your calendar and focus on the easier tasks.
4. Dress for a celebration
We know you’re feeling gloomy, but why show it through the looks? Try and wear your favourite outfits. Prepare them a night before, but for the first day wear your most comfortable one and leave your body time to adjust.
5. Treat yourself
Book a lunch or dinner at that restaurant you’ve been looking forward. Book a manicure, a spa day or change your haircolour. What better way that treating yourself for successfuly adapting to the routine?
6. Make plans for after work
Go for the happy hour cocktail, meet your friends or go to the theatre/opera. Your evenings should be anything but dull.
7. Plan for a trip
One holiday end, the other one will sooner begin. Start planning for that trip and you will have something to look forward to.
