The Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a special place where art and architecture come together beautifully. Opened in 1964 by Marguerite and Aimé Maeght, it features an exclusive mix of modern art and thoughtful design.

Designed by Josep Lluís Sert, a student of Le Corbusier, the Foundation’s buildings are simple yet striking. Key features include:
The Labyrinth – A garden maze by Joan Miró filled with sculptures and ceramic murals.
The Patio – An open courtyard used for exhibitions and performances.
The Chapel – A small, peaceful space decorated with stained glass and mosaics by Georges Braque.

The Maeght Foundation’s collection includes works by famous modern artists like:
Joan Miró: Vibrant paintings and playful sculptures.
Alexander Calder: Innovative mobiles and stabiles.
Marc Chagall: Dreamlike paintings full of color and whimsy.
Alberto Giacometti: Elongated sculptures exploring the human form.

The Foundation also hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists, ensuring there’s always something new to see. One of them was the Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2024 Collection catwalk show.
On January 29, Jacquemus unveiled its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at the Maeght Foundation. Surrounded by the stunning art of Alberto Giacometti, the show featured a color palette of red, butter yellow, black, beige, and white. Named “Les Sculptures,” the collection showcased Jacquemus’ vision of simplicity and luxury with unique tailoring and silhouettes.
Gigi Hadid opened the show in a striking leather outfit with crocodile texture, oversized belting, and voluminous sleeves, setting the tone for the rest of the collection.

Visiting the Maeght Foundation is a journey that engages all the senses. Set in the charming village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Mediterranean landscape enhances the experience of exploring art and architecture. It’s a place where creativity flourishes, inviting contemplation and inspiration.
Whether you’re an art lover or an architecture enthusiast the Maeght Foundation offers the most rewarding design experience in Southern France.
