Stylisphere takes you to their favourite spot Eos Mezze Bar

Eos Mezze Bar

In the Middle Eastern cuisine, the word “mezze” is used to refer to a selection of small dishes served as appetizers or snacks, a variety of flavors in one meal. In Albania, this word is used to refer to the highest form of cooking when you have a guest over at your house; as a form of showing respect by preparing a variety of dishes. The sweet memories of preparations of mezze always make us nostalgic as they hold a special place among our favourite dishes. Lucky for us, there is a place in Tirana that whenever you are feeling nostalgic, or just craving good food, it is always a good idea: Eos Mezze Bar. Eos, as the goddess of dawn, the bringer of the morning light, stands as the city’s premier destination solely dedicated to serving mezze.

At Stylisphere, it is one of our favourite places to dine or have a drink, not only for the great cuisine, but also for the philosophy it holds. You know how we love a place with meaning. Eos Mezze Bar is rooted in our traditon of hospitality, bringing back mezzes, but with a strong visionary and modern touch. In Eos Mezze Bar they strongly believe and support our Nation’s culture, through the design and menu.

As for the design, Eos is a modern remake of the sorroundings of its neibourhood. You can find the perfect
harmony between the geometric shapes of ceramic found in the constructivist architecture, inspired by the soviet influence and communism era, and the Venetian archs, found in the south of Albania and dating back to the Byzantine Era.

While regarding the menu, it is a whole culinary experience through tastes, cultures and history. As Albania has a mixed history of immigration, trade influences, religion beliefs and politics, the menu should identify exactly it. Eos has kept an open-mind when it comes to recipes, with curated details of Turkish, Greek, Italian and Slavic influences. You could tell that the menu was curated by strong aligned energies, as everything is very well matched. Genti Skendaj, the Executive Chef & Consultant, holds a powerful individuality and a crazy imagination on combining old and new concepts. Abas Albania, the Bar Concept Creator & Consultant, is known for its elegance, the attention to details, and the crave for not making compromises. Each cocktail is made to go perfectly well with the food. While taste is a very important thing, the way food and drinks are served should not be neglected. The use of fish and meat are all topically grown. No adetives or ready made ingredients are used in cocktails and mezzes. Everything is home made in their artisanal form.

At Eos the service is very friendly, with a ready-to-help and give information spirit, making you feel very comfortable and at ease. In need for some recommendation? Worry not. The girls will know what you will need to try. The boys at Eos are in the kitchen.

Eos significants you should try from the menu:

Hurry up to try these delights as the menu is always evolving in order not to become boring. But since we are on the topic, can we publicly ask Eos to bring the stuffed calamari back in the menu?

Eos Mezze Bar can be found in “Njazi Demi” street in Tirana, but it will soon be opened in Dhermi too. We now know where our next stop in the South will be. Until then, lets enjoy here some more mezze.
