According to the dictionary, the so very discussed word “identity” is defined as the fact of being who or what a person or thing is; the characteristics determining this. It encompasses the distinct qualities, beliefs, personality, and experiences that make an individual or thing unique and recognizable. Knowing and owning your identity is crucial for personal growth, self-confidence, and fulfillment. When individuals have a clear understanding of who they are, including their values, beliefs, strengths, and weaknesses, they can make informed decisions that align with their authentic selves. Knowing one’s identity is particularly important for a woman navigating a predominantly masculine world.
