Accor, a leading hospitality group, proudly announces the opening of Mercure Tirana, the first Mercure hotel in Albania, designed by PHOS Architects. This new hotel introduces guests to Albania’s rich cultural heritage through its Locally Inspired brand philosophy.
Mercure Tirana features 64 elegantly designed rooms with contemporary interiors and local artwork. Guests can enjoy meals at the Berat restaurant and terrace, which offers Albanian wines and international dishes. For leisure, there’s a sky bar with stunning views of Tirana’s skyline and a rooftop swimming pool.
The facade of Mercure Tirana is elegant and simple. PHOS Architects used white to beige marble with sleek black window frames, giving it a modern look that fits well with Tirana’s cityscape.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a reception area that blends modern style with local culture. Traditional Albanian elements are skillfully included, making the first impression both grand and warm.
A highlight inside the hotel is a corner dedicated to Tirana’s colorful buildings, with vibrant wallpapers and artwork. This playful touch celebrates the city’s unique urban art.
The restaurant, managed by Fatjon, offers Italian and Mediterranean fusion cuisine. The design is warm and welcoming, with traditional details honoring Albanian heritage.
The outdoor terrace, featuring a swimming pool, is a peaceful oasis in the city. PHOS Architects designed this area to be both functional and beautiful, with simple yet elegant landscaping.
The corridors are lively and engaging, with colorful wallpapers on the seventh floor reflecting Tirana’s streets. The guest rooms offer modern comfort and stylish decor that reflects local culture.
Mercure hotels are designed to be gateways to local discovery. Since 1973, Mercure has expanded to over 960 hotels in more than 65 countries, now including Albania. Tirana, one of Europe’s sunniest cities, saw over 10 million tourists in 2023 and continues to grow as a destination.
The guest rooms at Mercure Tirana offer modern comfort and excellent design. Each room is stylish and practical, with decor that reflects local culture. PHOS Architects made sure the rooms are luxurious and thoughtful, with details that enhance the guest experience.
Mercure Tirana is strategically located near major highways, Tirana Airport, and popular attractions like Skanderbeg Square and several shopping districts. The hotel also features a conference center for up to 120 guests, with modern technology and ample natural light. The foyer and garden restaurant are perfect for business or private events.
As part of the ALL – Accor Live Limitless lifestyle loyalty program, Mercure Tirana offers guests access to a wide range of rewards and experiences. This new addition complements Accor’s existing Mövenpick Hotel Lalez Durres on the Adriatic coast.
