Key Takeaways To Add To Your Wardrobe

Stylisphere’s ready to wear favorites

Etro

In a runaway adorned with masks from the Greek theater, Marco de Vincenzo introduced the ready to wear collection from Etro. Golden motifs, patterns on dark textile were the elements of the show. De Vincenzo expressed his passion for textile exploration through the use of gold foil to stamp paisley patterns onto masculine tailoring. He also created dense ruffles resembling feather boas by shredding chiffon, which adorned delicate gowns and sheer pants. During Day One of Milan Fashion Week, quirky knitwear took center stage, with Etro incorporating scarf-like elements into overcoats, sweater sleeves, and even a unique pencil skirt featuring a partial bodice attachment.

Fendi

Kim Jones took inspiration from houses’s archives dating back to 1984. The collection was a reminiscent of the 1980s, characterized by prominent shoulders, cinched waists, and knee-length shorts with some unexpected elements, such as a knitted cape, serving dual purposes of warmth and subtle bursts of color. The designs also emphasized asymmetry throughout the sleeves, varying from shoulder to wrist. The sole prints featured were three artworks sourced from the Borghese Gallery in Rome and the Chiesa di Luigi dei Francesi, whether displayed on knits or showcased through embroideries on transparent trousers.

Tom Ford

Peter Hawkings’ second collection for Tom Ford maintains the brand’s signature sophisticated urban style. The runway showcased an array of double-breasted jackets, coats, ensembles, and dresses, adorned with gold buttons or complemented by subtly striking jewelry. Patent and crocodile leather were prominent materials throughout the collection. And of course, how can the signature velvet suit be missed?

Max Mara

In this season’s collection, the iconic camel shade takes a step back as an array of dark blues, grays, and blacks take center stage, weaving an aura of refined elegance. Despite its melancholic undertones, the show delivers a powerful impact with its fluid, drop-waist silhouettes evoking the spirit of the 1910s and ’20s. Each creation is about feeling powerful, sensual and self-aware.
